4.       Matters Arising Therefrom

·         Presentation by Amalia Booker, CEO Holderness Health-who gave an excellent insight into the workings and the challenges behind the scenes.

The parish councillors agreed that they would try to get the message out that should you need a routine appointment, telephone the surgery after 10am. If genuine same day emergency appointments telephone at 8am, the system could work more efficiently. AB will send out a short note that we can include in a newsletter to our residents.

The surgeries are soon to extend their opening hours.

There will be a new system trialled from November, a GP will oversee the calls coming in and triage.

There is a regular zoom meeting held, councillors across the Holderness Health area are always invited to join. Email sent to thank

· New playpark equipment ordered from StreetScape, site meeting to be arranged to confirm which equipment needs to be removed prior to installation –Cllrs Annison and Hulme

Huge thanks were given to Cllr Winter, who has acquired £5,000 donation from Pensana, £5,000 donation from the Yorkshire Energy Park, £500 from Saltend Chemicals Park, £1,000 donation from Triton Power, and £250 from Mitsubishi.  We have also applied for a grant from ERYC for £391. Cllr Winter will liaise regarding a site visit by the donors.

· Advice regarding absences from 6 consecutive parish council meetings shared-Cllr Shaw

5.    Continuing Matters :

·  HCC land purchase, to agree to instruct the solicitor to complete the agreed purchase of the land 7th October 2022-proposed Cllr Hulme, seconded Cllr Lowde, agreed unanimously (clerk to inform BHIB insurers of the land purchase)

·  The Crown-ERYC strategic planning committee are to hear the case 2pm on 13 October 2022, the land agent will speak as there is only one speaker in favour allowed. A place has to be booked if councillors want to attend, it can be viewed on youtube.

Cllr J Dennis will speak as ward councillor in favour of the application.  Cllr Shaw explained that we have passed all our information of support to the land agent. Reference was made to the email received by PPC from Cllr Dennis after the previous planning meeting, Cllr Shaw had responded

·  ABP-  Cllr Shaw gave an update from the first meeting, which was held in Paull Village Hall. At present, they have no clients, and work will not commence until they do. He explained that 50 acres of the land is a ‘freezone area’ which is different to ‘freeport status’ and that the rail link from the dock is being explored. Cllr Shaw said that he had asked the ERYC planning representative M Sunman to look at ALL the work that is planned for the whole of our area, and also asked if there could be a ‘no build zone’ on land adjacent to the village. There was a suggestion of a ‘community chest’ funded by all the local developers. The meeting venues will rotate between Hedon, Preston and Paull, and each parish council representative will chair their meeting. Cllr Shaw’s deputy will be either Cllr Allen or Cllr Lowde should he not be available. Next meeting to be in January in Hedon.

·  Fort Paull planning application-Cllr Winter shared information from the conservation officer, no further updates

·  Yorkshire Energy Park-have created an Annual Community Fund- from 1 January 2023, of £20,000- CVS will manage the funding bids for good causes

·  Pensana- hedges have to remain around the site, also lots of information in the Business News

·  Sanctuary Bank-Cllr Steel liaising with the EA to arrange a site meeting when the ground is wet.

·  Paul the milkman- Cllrs Shaw and Hulme presented Paul with the painting, beautiful buffet in the Humber Tavern, sadly not very well attended
