Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday, 4 December 2025

Matters Arising: Guest speakers Mrs Sarah Powell, Head of Patient Services, and Mrs Heather Whitfield, Head of Projects–Holderness Health, gave an informative presentation on how the GP practice works, the call grading system, services available, the use of the 111 system, and the Urgent Care Centres. GP’s still do home visits. Thanks sent  
4. Continuing Matters:  
Precept, £17,000 proposed Cllr Lowde, seconded Cllr Leach, vote: all agreed, submitted-confirmation received from ERYC
Land near the post box, ongoing, clerk to contact solicitor for any updates
Playground inspection paperwork -Cllr Shaw -ongoing
Skelpings- (Cllr Lowde-who can we contact?) 20mm granite advised, would be costly?
Lighthouses-clerk has emailed to ABP for update, English Heritage confirm they are both Grade 2 listed, and advised contact with ERYC Conservation Officer–
Picnic tables-thanks to Cllr Annison for storing them, DH will place them in better weather
Self-closing gates playpark- Cllr Annison will speak with Tony Cook re cost of double gate, wide enough to accommodate large machinery, look at pedestrian gates in the near future
Holderness Vikings- email shared
Fence carpark completed, many thanks to DH for the excellent job
Fishing signs and poles need collecting from Sign Services, Cllr Beadle will kindly collect,

Road Safety Fund and Speedwatch- decided not to take up
ERNLLCA newsletter-gov./org, and information of providers –clerk to explore with ERYC
Valuation Office email-for the village hall–Cllr Lowde
Salt order ERYC- the 2 salt bins outside the riding school are now adopted by ERYC (8/1/2026) they will both be filled twice a year at a cost of £55+vat per visit, many thanks to Cllr Leach and DH for checking salt levels round the parish

Road Safety / Highways: Await any update from our local police officers this weekend, possible letter to go to resident re vehicle parked in close proximity to the junction of Townend Road and Back Lane, buses and large vehicles struggle to get round the corner, this is the site of a fatal accident some years ago

m. Village Hall: Carol concert had a good attendance, although not many children
