Matters Arising : Guest speaker Mr N Taylor, he asked to speak to Councillors regarding ideas and a way forward for Fort Paull. Mr Taylor explained that he will be leasing the fort, he shared his ideas for many events that he would like to explore. AG from the YWT said he was available to discuss and advise, and asked that Mr Taylor ring him to arrange a site visit, he also said that it was close to the mitigation site, and by the Kings Trail. Ward Councillors advised that Mr Taylor must advise the relevant officers in County Hall, Health and Safety, comply with any planning rules and legalities. He mentioned possible air b n b, and was advised that it wasn’t 60 days as he had been told by the owner, but a maximum 28 days per year for caravan stays. Ward Councillors informed that current planning approvals for the fort are registered on the ERYC portal, and that there are grants available for heritage sites. Cllr Hodgson said she hoped that if events went ahead, she wouldn’t have the same problems that she had previously, with people parking across her drive and blocking her vehicles in. Councillors asked that they were kept informed and updated. | ||
Continuing Matters : Repair of the Lane-no new skelpings available at present, T Cook and Son Ltd have completed the repair of the lane-continue to monitor, Cllr Lowde will liaise with Community payback-could we repair the carpark in the future? Cllr Hulme was exploring a price for a full repair. Chainsaw blades for the continual removal of dead trees-Prop Cllr Lowde, sec Cllr Annison, all approved-3/5/24/ordered £36 Paull Holme Strays-shared an email between Cllr Steel and the EA, they will take a look at next steps re stone Lighting of the beacon 6 June-Cllrs Annison, Leach and Allen will arrange materials, Cllr Shaw will light the beacon—is the village hall planning anything, there is an ERYC grant of £500 available-clerk needs to apply Sanctuary Bank seating-Cllr Allen will liaise with DH, Cllrs Annison, Leach, Hulme to arrange a working group when the weather is dries up-Many thanks to the shipyard for their continued support in housing the benches PPC assets regularly checked, many thanks to Cllr Leach Tesco funding bid, we have been awarded £500 from the Tesco Stronger Starts fund, (Groundworks acceptance completed 3/5/2024) councillors had previously agreed to top up to enable us to purchase a seesaw for the playpark-cost £3,600+vat. £3,100 from PPC proposed by Cllr Allen, seconded Cllr Leach, unanimous- 3/5/24 ordered from Streetscape Fort Paull caravan park application REFUSED, talk from Mr N Taylor as above YEP, Cllr Shaw will apply to their Community Fund for a grant towards re-roofing the sports hall on the football pitch- a discussion took place regarding the removal of the old one, clearing out the building, possibly some benches to go in, is it feasible to put storage container/s on the land and clad them? ER Neighbourhood Watch event 11 April-apologies sent Holderness Health Forum 15 April-cancelled Village task Force walkabout- 20th May 2024, 09.45am, outside the village hall-Cllr Woodmansey Portrait of His Majesty King Charles 111 arrived safely, will be hung in the village hall | ||

ABP: HIEP road application- no update, probably not going to be used to move the large wind turbine uprights for storage near Hedon. Cllr Shaw awaiting a response re ‘No build zone/ no use zone’ for the field near the village c. AbleUK/Siemens: nothing to report d. Police / Neighbourhood Watch: information and figures previously emailed out e. Lighting: light opposite ‘Uncle Harold’s’ now wired f. Allotments: many thanks to Cllr Beadle, he will submit a readiing g. School info: Forest Trust working in the school, school will use the land but not the access lane h. Sports field: roof as above (no update from guest speaker re possible rental) grass cutting going well i. Community Recreation area: steering wheel in situ- thanks to go-Cllr Hulme will provide contact details. j. Road Safety / Highways: nothing to report k.
