Matters Arising Therefrom   The meeting opened with the sad passing of Mrs Beryl Marshall, a former Paull Parish Councillor, stalwart supporter of the parish council, and along with KGF our Transport champions. Her funeral is 21 March 2022 at 10.45am, followed by a private cremation. As there are no flowers by request, but donations to St Andrews Church, it was unanimously voted for PPC to make a donation of £250. It was also unanimous that we send flowers to the Team at Allendale house in recognition of their wonderful care of Beryl. Also agreed was that a plaque for Beryl, and for Doris Franks will be placed on the bench at the Village Hall, after consulting with KGF.
Continuing Matters :
ABP- still no communication to PPC,   The Crown planning application-the planned meeting 4/3/22 with SW, Conservation Officer cancelled (by SW), the Clerk shared the conversation she had with him, also the email from TW, the case manager was discussed- there was much frustration as in the email it states Paull is a high risk of flooding (3) however Cllr Woodmansey provided a map and information from the gov.uk flood site, which clearly states that Paull is low risk. Surely the very expensive sea defences reduce the risk? Also planning has been approved on the land next to the school–which is much lower than the Crown land that has never flooded in living memory. PPC have stated that we are happy to support this planning application. Cllr Steel will share the flood information with TW, clerk will speak with the applicant and ask that they contact TW to ascertain a way forward for a positive outcome.
Fort Paull planning application- No updates-monitor closely
HCC land -no updates
Yorkshire Energy Park- ongoing consultations
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee- grant of £500 from ERYC secured, clerk to contact the School Business Manager to see what the primary school are doing. Cllr Leach will speak with Paull Shipyard to ask for a price for a new beacon?
Pensana-PPC, Hedon Town Council and the ward councillors have all registered objections. Called in to panel? Is the reason they want it to go on the new site so as to give them more room for expansion for recycling and assembly? Why can’t PX dig out and repair the culvert to enable Pensana to be built on their site as originally applied for?
Foodbank query from Feb meeting—Cllr Annison explained that Mandy helps out at the Hedon foodbank, people in Paull have been offered support-which hasn’t been taken up. Cllr Allen queried if breakfast in school is free
