4.       Matters Arising Therefrom

 

·         Felling of the poisoned oak tree in Turpit Lane completed

·         Commemorative Bench-cost would be £800+vat, also a concrete base would need to be put in—discussion resulted in obtaining a price to renovate the 4 benches along the riverside—clerk to speak to DH

·         2019-2020 accounts—Cllr Lowde presented the parish accounts, received unanimously

·         Discussion around separate finance balances for cemetery/play area—Cllr Lowde distributed the breakdown sheet of finances—add to September agenda

·         Concerns that some of the wood in the play area has split—was there any guarantee from the suppliers???-ROSPA booked September for annual HSE check

·         Possibility of adjacent double grave purchase—agreed unanimously

·         The need for public toilets in the village was discussed-clerk to write to ERYC—(email to housing.services)

·         Parish Council vacancy—has been advertised—Steve Woodmansey only applicant—unanimously co-opted onto the council—clerk to inform ERYC

·         Information is that ERYC have given notice that they are to knock the garages down—parish pump and various other equipment stored in one—it seems you only rented the base and not the structure. (email sent to housing.services)

·         New defibrillator pads (Cllr Lowde confirmed they have been fitted, the new casing is stored in the village hall) clerk to update NHS

g. Environment Agency : Cllr Allen updated from a site meeting he had with A Gibson from YWT. Councillors expressed their concerns regarding a lack of disabled access, Cllr Allen witnessed a person getting out of their wheelchair and crawling up the bank, after being pushed through boggy land to access.
